DAVID MOSHER has been named mountain operations manager at the Dartmouth Skiway.
Mosher will oversee the Skiway’s ski facilities including lifts, snowmaking and grooming, and off-season maintenance of the Skiway’s 14 slopes and trails. He comes to the Skiway after 16 years at Sugarbush Resort in Warren, Vermont, where he was vice president of operations.
“David brings a wealth of experience from one of the East’s finest resorts,” said Skiway General Manager Doug Holler. “I’m looking forward to his translating that experience to our efforts here at the Skiway.”
A graduate of Morrisville College with a degree in ski-area management, Mosher succeeds Ron Balch, who retired this fall after nearly 50 years at the Skiway.
The Dartmouth Skiway offers three lifts and 14 slopes and trails, with terrain for beginners to experts as well as terrain features for all users.
Home of the 2007 NCAA champion Dartmouth Ski Team, the Skiway has been host to NCAA championships and scores of racers who have gone on to compete in international and Olympic competition, as well as community-based ski programs such as the Ford Sayre Memorial Ski Council and Team Spectra, and afterschool ski programs from nearby Thetford, Chelsea, Strafford and Bradford in Vermont and Orford and Lyme in New Hampshire.
