Fabian Ax Swartz Joins SHRED. Ahead of 2026/27 Season

Oct 21, 2026

The independent Swedish World Cup racer will compete with SHRED. helmets and goggles as he pursues his career outside the national team structure.

Swedish World Cup racer Fabian Ax Swartz has joined SHRED. ahead of the 2026/27 season, adding the helmet and goggle brand’s support as he pursues his career independently, outside the Swedish national team structure.

At just 22, Fabian has already established himself among the rising talents of alpine ski racing. He scored his first World Cup points at 19, finishing 20th in Kitzbühel in 2024. Since then, he has recorded two 11th-place World Cup finishes, won bronze at the 2025 Junior World Championships, and represented Sweden at Milano Cortina 2026, finishing 14th in Olympic slalom.

Twice the Fight

SHRED.’s announcement carries the message “Twice the Fight.” Competing against the world’s best is one challenge. Doing it independently is another.

“I’m a big fan of Fabian’s skiing. He’s a talented racer, and I have a lot of respect for the path he’s chosen. I can’t wait to watch him compete this season,” said Ted Ligety, SHRED. Co-Founder & Chairman and two-time Olympic gold medalist.

“I’m really looking forward to joining the SHRED. team and working together to push the limits on the slopes. Having a strong partner like SHRED. behind me means a lot, especially as I continue to pursue my goals on an independent path. Their support gives me the confidence to focus on what matters most: pushing my performance to the next level, challenging myself every day, and competing at the highest level. I’m proud to be part of the SHRED. family and excited for what we can achieve together,” said Fabian Ax Swartz.

For SHRED. Co-Founder and CEO Carlo Salmini, Fabian’s approach makes him a strong addition to the team.

“Fabian is exactly the kind of athlete we love working with. Ambitious, independent, and determined to push his limits. We’re very happy to welcome him to the team and give him the technology to perform at his best,” said Salmini.

Helmets and Goggles for the Season Ahead

Fabian will compete with SHRED. helmets and goggles featuring Contrast Boosting Lens™ 2.0 ICE, developed in collaboration with the MIT Sports Lab. According to SHRED., the technology is designed to enhance contrast and snow definition across changing light conditions.

The brand describes the lens with the message: “DEFEAT flat light. SHIELD glare. ONE lens. ALL conditions.”
